In Episode 3 of my Google Slides for Kids series, I show you how to add animations to a Google Slideshow. The goal is to make your slides more engaging without making them distracting—because a little movement can help your audience follow along, but too much can quickly turn into chaos. I focus on the basics kids (and teachers!) need to get started confidently. You’ll learn what animations are used for, where to find the animation tools in Google Slides, and how to apply them to text and objects on a slide. I also talk about being intentional—choosing simple effects, thinking about the order things appear, and using animations to support what you’re teaching instead of just “making it flashy.” By the end, you should be able to add animations that make your presentation clearer, smoother, and more fun to watch—especially for student-created slideshows.
