In this first episode of my “Google Slides for Kids” series, I walk you through a simple, kid-friendly introduction to getting started with a basic slideshow. I keep it clear and approachable so students (and teachers helping them) can feel confident right away. The big goal here is understanding what a slideshow is and how to set one up without getting overwhelmed by extra tools or fancy features. I also give an intro to Google Docs along the way, because in Google Workspace, the tools connect and the skills transfer. Once you understand the basics—opening the right tool, starting a new file, and knowing where your work lives—you’re in a great spot to build from there. If you’re teaching younger students or you’re brand new to classroom tech, this episode is meant to be the quick, steady on-ramp before we start creating more slides and adding more creative elements in future videos.
