From these pieces I first cut an 8.5"x8.5" square and trimmed off 1.5" strips from the sides. Then I cut the following: 3"x8.5", 4"x8.5", 1.5"x8.5" and 2.5"x8.5". The blocks were trimmed to 7.25" x 16".
