Developers lie about construction timelines. Here is what to do about it. We visited a site last week for a project - The project and developer were nice but the building told a completely different story to the one we had been sold. 20+ years in Dubai real estate tells me that site was nowhere near its promised delivery date. 12 to 18 months late minimum. If you are buying off plan or waiting on a handover, do not just trust the brochure. Visit the site. Take photos. Compare them over time. Push back if something does not add up.
