"The Ghost of Smokey Joe" was a song by Cab Calloway in the 1930's. It was a follow-up to his song "Minnie the Moocher". So it's the perfect name for a variation of the Minnie the Moocher cocktail recipe. The credit for this cocktail goes to John Champion, who left his variation of the classic Minnie the Moocher cocktail in the comments section on DiffordsGuide.com.
