For vacuum-based cleaning, I really like a goat hair brush for spreading fluid evenly across the record because the hair isn’t very absorbent. I’m not a fan of goat hair brushes for dry cleaning, but for wet application they do the job properly—and unlike some stock brushes, this one doesn’t drive me mad by shedding.
