These are the Fluance Ri71 powered bookshelf speakers I tested specifically because I needed something forgiving with bad placement—against a wall, inside an alcove. In my room the front port helped keep bass more controlled than the rear-ported designs I’ve had there, and the overall tuning stayed balanced and easy to live with.
