Hike through red and gold rhyolite hills frosted with snow. If you are lucky enough to have good weather (which we did), you will be able to see glaciers in the distance. The trail weaves over hill after hill, steadily climbing and descending throughout the day. Keep an eye out for evidence of the geothermal activity — like steam rising from the warm ground— underneath this otherworldly landscape!
