About This Video

Welcome back to the studio—this one’s basically me getting emotionally jump-scared by my own past. I’m flipping through my art book with Tori (my girlfriend) and letting her do a blind, brutally honest reaction to a full decade of my work—graffiti panels from boarding school, the garage-era chaos, early YouTube projects, murals, stencils, and then the hard pivot into oil painting and more narrative, figurative stuff. The book’s split into eras, so you can literally watch me level up in real time… and also watch me take a few L’s along the way. We talk about the pieces I’m genuinely proud of (those rare “how did I do that?” moments), the ones I think are not well executed, and the difference between a cool idea and actually landing it on canvas. There’s a lot of behind-the-scenes context too—dropping out of two universities, working restaurant shifts, filming hundreds of videos for $0, and then finally getting that breakthrough in 2019. And yeah… we also roast a bunch of self-portraits, skull paintings, and some very questionable choices (including “why are you naked here?”). The big takeaway: give yourself projects, practice with intention, and make fine art fun—even when your old work is trying to humble you.
