About This Video

For the past two years I’ve been quietly burning through my life savings building two things at the same time, and I’m hyped to say that in 2026 it’s all finally aligning. This video is a behind-the-scenes look at both: the Ultimate Art Competition (my fine art game show) and Studio SLEW/Studio Slooh (my nonprofit art organization in NYC). They’re different ventures, but they’re basically the same mission in two formats—one in-person, one online—designed to get people to pick up the pencil and make fine art feel fun, contemporary, and actually accessible. I break down how the competition is produced: the contestant funnel (a lot of them come through the studio), the camera setup (FX3/A7IV, GoPros on each easel, overhead lights for clean footage), the confessional interview rig, and the reality of the workflow—each episode is about a terabyte and takes me 2–3 weeks to edit. Then we jump into studio renovations: building a solid wall behind the model stage so I can swap curtains, mount heavier stuff, and make the whole class experience cozier and more functional (tea, materials, props, the whole “art gym” vibe). 2026 is about strengthening the foundation and pushing both projects harder—without reinventing the wheel.
