About This Video

Well, well, well—we’re back with episode 6 of the ultimate art competition: four new artists, three brand new fine art challenges, and $250 up for grabs. After you watch the full video and see all the work, you’ve gotta cast your vote on my Community tab to crown the winner. The whole point is simple: put pros in weird situations, crank the clock, and see who can stay organized, creative, and fundamentally solid when the rules get flipped. Challenge one is the “appearing skull,” where everyone starts on charcoal-powdered paper and has to draw the skull by erasing for 30 minutes, then only add with Conte for the last 10. The wildcard is the eraser—electric spinner, kneaded, classic pink, or the butt end of a Ticonderoga pencil—picked based on a chaotic long-handled Spongebob mini-game. Challenge two is my “exquisite corpse / Mr. Potato Head” face: plaster casts rotate every 5 minutes, and you can only draw the feature in front of you with ink. Then we finish with the “deconstructed bouquet,” building a full bouquet from the same vase and four flowers using Neocolor watercolor crayons—dry marks, wet brush, happy accidents, and a lot of personal style. Same puzzle pieces, totally different results.
