About This Video

It’s so good to be back—episode four of my ultimate art competition, where I throw four pro artists into the trenches of creativity and awesomeness and you get to decide the winner. This time I brought in Alyssa, Temi, Anna, and Jordan for three fine art challenges that are worth watching all the way through, because the winner gets $250 cash… but more importantly, eternal bragging rights and a shot to come back to the Studio SLEW battlements. Challenge one is an animal-card illustration sprint: draw three random animal cards, pick two, and finish both pieces in 40 minutes—plus a wild-card medium (markers, colored pencils, crayons, or a multicolor pen) determined by a long-handle Patrick Star mini game. Challenge two is a still life ink sculpture: 45 minutes, ink + brush pen only, and everyone draws a different sculpture after a brutal 10-second memory sketch mini game. Then I level the playing field for the finale: a spinning skull-and-roses still life on black paper with soft pastel pencils, rotating every 40 seconds for 90 minutes. It’s patience, observation, value structure, and pure decision-making under pressure—exactly the stuff that actually makes you better.
