About This Video

We’re back for Episode 5 of the Ultimate Art Competition, and I brought four brand new pro-level contestants into the studio to battle through three challenges (plus some mini games) for $250 and, more importantly, eternal glory and bragging rights. The hook is simple: I stack real drawing fundamentals against weird constraints that mess with your mechanics—then you decide who actually pulled it off when it matters. Challenge one is a master copy of Girl with a Pearl Earring… but everyone has to use their non-dominant hand. To make it even spicier, they draft different mediums based on a mini game with the upside-down goggles (yes, drawing a “simple” smiley face becomes a full-on war). Challenge two is a reflective metal shield in vine charcoal while wearing weighted wrist guards, and we judge the wrist weights through a 5-minute Stan Prokopenko speed portrait—Stan even calls in to rank them. Final challenge is a 90-minute mixed media painting from a live model with gouache, colored pencil, and ink—no wildcards, just pure decision-making, layering, and nerve. Watch the finals, then go vote for the winner.
