In this video, I’m addressing that question a lot of us were taught not to ask out loud: “So all the other religions are wrong?” If you grew up in Christianity (especially the more rigid, exclusive versions), you’ve probably heard the idea that Christianity is the only truth and everything else is deception. I’m reacting to that mindset and breaking down why it doesn’t automatically hold up just because we were raised with it. I talk about how belief systems are often tied to where you were born, what your family practiced, and what you were taught to fear or dismiss. And when you really sit with it, the “one true religion” claim starts sounding less like undeniable truth and more like conditioning. My takeaway isn’t that you have to abandon Christianity—my point is that it’s intellectually honest to admit other religious beliefs could be just as true, or at least just as meaningful, to the people living them. This is part of deconstruction for me: letting myself explore without needing to control the outcome, and being willing to have the real conversations people avoid.
