The Xbox Elite Series 2 is still one of the cleanest “premium” feeling controllers you can buy—great materials, great accessories, and the back button placement is more out of the way than most. On PC, it integrates with Steam really well and the battery life is the real flex: I consistently got around 38–40 hours in my testing.
Pros
+Premium materials and overall high-end feel
+Back buttons are positioned more out of the way
+Excellent Steam integration and clean Xbox app experience
+Outstanding battery life (around 38–40 hours in my testing)
+Often discounted due to being on the market longer
Cons
-Notorious QC/reliability reports (buttons/sticks failing over time)
-Poor repairability path for consumers; stick replacement isn’t simple
-Heavier feel can make thumbsticks feel less snappy in fast PvP
