I’ve used the DualSense Edge since release, and on PS5 it’s easily one of the best “premium experience” controllers because the features actually integrate well. The adjustable triggers, back buttons, and custom profiles are super clutch, and the swappable thumbstick modules are a huge win for drift. My only real advice is simple: don’t pay full retail—wait for a sale.
Pros
+Adjustable trigger pulls feel super clutch for faster, more precise inputs
+Back buttons are high-quality metal and easy to map on PS5
+Custom profiles make it easy to tailor settings per game
+Swappable thumbstick modules make stick drift far less scary
+Premium carrying case and long braided cable included
Cons
-Full retail price feels insane for how similar it is to the original DualSense
-Battery life is a deal breaker for long sessions (around 6 hours for me)
-PC experience is limited: features require wired use, Bluetooth loses features
-You need a PS5 to edit and manage custom profiles
