Flat foot, or pes planus, is a common condition affecting both children and adults. It often goes unrecognised and can eventually lead to tendon, ligament or even joint problems in the foot. For example, common conditions associated with flat foot include plantar fasciitis, bunions, and arthritis. This public webinar aims to discuss the problems related to flat foot, preventive measures and treatment options, both surgical and non-surgical. The webinar is chaired by Asst Prof Tay Kae Sian, Director of Foot and Ankle Surgery in Singapore General Hospital Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, and the panellists include Specialist Foot and Ankle surgeons Dr Toh Rui Xiang and Dr Kizher Buhary, as well as Principal Podiatrist Mr Gordon Williams.
