How to clean your throttle body Do this if you have a rough idle. I demonstrate this on my 2012 Nissan Frontier but the idea is the same for all Gen 2 Frontier models as well as most vehicles out there. If your idle is rough or if your vehicle is idling high this is one of the things that could remedy the issue. This happens because carbon builds up on the throttle body causing it to remain partially open and when the right amount of air is not entering on idle your vehicle will not idle properly.
