Pilgrims Film Talk: New York Baltic Film Festival 2022

The Fifth Annual New York Baltic Film Festival (NYBFF) presented by Scandinavia House: The Nordic Center in America returns in 2022 as a hybrid festival with both in-person and virtual screenings on November 2-13. In coordination with the screenings of PILGRIMS (Lithuania, 2021), put forward as Lithuania’s candidate for the Academy Award for Best International Feature Film, director Laurynas Bareiša joined us with lead actors Gabija Bargailaitė and Giedrius Kiela via Zoom to discuss the film’s meditation on violence and closure. PILGRIMS screens in-person on November 4 and virtually from November 5-13, 2022 in NYBFF, presenting the latest award-winning and critically-acclaimed films from the Baltic region of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.
