Burial Film Talk: New York Baltic Film Festival

The Fifth Annual New York Baltic Film Festival (NYBFF) presented by Scandinavia House: The Nordic Center in America returns in 2022 as a hybrid festival with both in-person and virtual screenings on November 2-13. In coordination with the screenings of BURIAL (Lithuania/Norway, 2022), director Emilija Škarnulytė was joined by MoMA curator Sophie Cavoulacos for a discussion at Scandinavia House about the film and its documentation of “Chernoby’s Big Sister,” the decommissioned Ignalina Nuclear Power Plant in Lithuania. BURIAL is screening virtually from November 6-13, 2022 in NYBFF, presenting the latest award-winning and critically-acclaimed films from the Baltic region of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.
