Sony FX6

The FX6 is the “oh wow, internal ND” moment—once you have it, it’s hard to go back. It’s my default studio camera because it feels like a proper video body: internal NDs, SDI, timecode, and a more production-ready workflow when I have help on set.

Pros

+Internal ND filters (huge quality-of-life upgrade)
+Pro connections like SDI and timecode
+Great for studio and crew-based shoots

Cons

-Bigger setup that’s less ideal if you’re solo and traveling light
-Top handle/audio handle isn’t my favorite compared to the FX3 approach
