The 24-105 f/4 is such a classic, especially for event, wedding, and run-and-gun shooting. The optical stabilization paired with in-body stabilization is ridiculously usable handheld—like, ‘forget about it’ levels of steady—and that’s why I ended up owning two.

- -f/4 isn’t as dreamy for depth of field as fast primes
- -I’m personally using it less now that I’m on a prime kick
