Canon EF 35mm F1.4ii
I brought the Canon EF 35mm f/1.4 II as another fast prime option for low light. In one lighting setup I tried 35 first but it didn’t really work for what I wanted, so I switched back to 24 to get the beam and stage feeling I was chasing.
Pros
- +Fast f/1.4 aperture for low-light concerts
- +Useful focal length when you want tighter context than 24mm
Cons
- -Didn’t fit my composition for the spotlight/haze moment I wanted
- -In a tight pit, lens choice can feel restrictive quickly
