C70 Side plate
The side plate is light and gives you extra mounting points, but I personally don’t use it. The reason is simple: I prefer keeping the Canon C70 hand strap/grip setup, and the side plate gets in the way of that. If you don’t care about the strap, it can be useful as an extra mounting surface.
