In this uni life vlog, I’m basically taking you with me as I go back to uni and survive the first day of orientation at UniMelb… in actual heat (it was like 34° and I was dying). I joined the UniMelb membership and did a full “what’s in my AA tote bag” style haul of all the freebies and vouchers I picked up—like the cutest octopus mascot sticker sheet, a keyring situation (plus the little Crocs charm thingy that I didn’t know how to put back), water (literally essential), and even an energy cup with caffeine (I don’t drink coffee, but my mum would love the Vietnamese iced coffees). Everything was giving chaotic but cute. I also went around to different stalls like Planet Uni for the free barbecue stuff (and free super dupers, thank you), plus a bunch of student discount bits like cinema deals and random pens/survival guides. I joined the Chinese Students and Scholars Association even though I’m not Chinese—purely because the guy was so funny and persistent (and also for my cousin who can speak Chinese), and that membership pack was actually stacked: plushie, cards, wipes, notebook, discount info, the whole thing. I ended the day with more club expo vibes (psych society stickers + cute sweatshirt temptation) and a little animal talk moment too—very wholesome, very “uni is back.”
