The Roseselsa Distant Mountain is the coolest surprise I’ve tried in a while: it looks retro, but it actually sounds legit. You get a mid-forward sound with elevated fun bass and real sub-bass, and for around $60 the build and driver performance feels way above the price.
Pros
- +Surprisingly strong bass and audible sub-bass for the size
- +Mid-range/vocals and instruments pop in a really enjoyable way
- +Lightweight, small, and easy to throw in a backpack
- +Detachable cable and includes extra ear pads
- +Build feels premium for the price (metal, real sheepskin headband)
Cons
- -More of a semi-open feel, so isolation isn’t like a true closed-back
- -Alternate pads can sound too bright/overwhelming (I preferred default)
