Fosi ZH3

The Fosi ZH3 is one of the coolest sub-$200 DAC/amps I’ve tested because it gives you a screen, a super smooth dial, and a ton of quick settings like gain, EQ, and multiple filters (plus bypass). Sound-wise it has a thicker, more in-your-face presentation with noticeably stronger bass in the default profile, and it’s built like a premium little metal brick with really nice rounded machining.

Pros

+Multiple descriptive sound filters (not just “Filter 1/2/3”)
+Strong bass and punchy low-end by default
+Premium metal build with smooth rounded corners
+Balanced headphone output and lots of quick settings via the knob

Cons

-Gets quite hot during use
-Not quite as precise/detailed as the K11 R2R in my A/B testing
-More focused stage (not as wide as the K11 R2R)
