Here is a series of sight-reading videos I will be posting from time to time. The solos are played first with a click track and then without. No repeats are observed. These are from books I use with my students to improve their sight-reading abilities. The material in this episode is taken from the Garwood Whaley book Musical Studies for the Intermediate Snare Drummer. This book was published in 1971. The book is published by J. W. Pepper. I highly recommend purchasing this book if you are a teacher or student as it contains basic etudes geared toward beginning and intermediate players. You can slow these recordings down in the settings if you need to do that. The snare drum I am using is a 14" x 5" Clevelander Bell Bronze drum.
