Here are some of my favorite drums for powerful playing and tracking: The Peavey RSB1s (or Radial 1000s). These strange-looking drums were around in the 1990s and are some of the best-sounding drums I have ever played. Equipment: The cymbals are old 1960s A Zildjian: 22" ride, 18" crash/ride, 18" crash, and 16" crash. I am also using 14" Sabian Vault Hi Hats. The drums are Peavy RSB1s (Radial 1000's) 22" BD, 10", 12",14",16" toms. The snare drum is a Canopus Zelkova 14" x 5" drum. The microphones I am using are two Neumann U89 overheads and a Shure Beta 52 on the Bass Drum. There is no compression, EQ, Reverb or any other type of processing being used. The click is created with the Yamaha Click Station.
