Here is episode 10 of a video series exploring the David Garabaldi book Future Sounds. This is one of my favorite drum set books, and I use it daily in my teaching and practicing. In this episode, I demonstrate permutation exercise #9 from page 31 of the book. This particular exercise is invaluable when practicing Batucada Samba around the drums. I play the page as written and then show you how it works with some of the foot ostinatos from my book Advanced Coordination for Drum Set and Hand Percussion.
