In this video I’m showing my custom stick offerings for March 2026 (and most likely April, maybe May as well). I go pair-by-pair from the lightest to the heaviest, calling out the exact wood, tip shape, length when it matters, and the weight in grams—because weight and feel are everything when you’re trying to play clean, consistent technique. If you’ve been asking me for shorter sticks, I start with a super short 16-inch persimmon “shorties” pair with a reverse tip at 60g, then move through persimmon and white wenge (also called latty) in the mid-60s. From there I cover a bunch of my regular favorites and some limited stuff: pecan (only one pair this month), yellowheart, and leopardwood—leopardwood in that ~70g range is honestly some of my favorite concert-stick territory. I also show what’s left of my cocobolo since I sold out of most of it, plus a run of black wenge in the mid-to-high 70s. On the heavier end I get into purpleheart (even my “light batch” is still 78g+), bubinga, tigerwood (clear and striped/figured), bloodwood, and I finish with my heaviest pair right now: a 92g reverse-tip tigerwood heartwood.
