This is a Second-Line Style Groove solo that employs several soloing concepts talked about in the book. Sizes are 18" x14" Bass Drum, 10"x 8", 12"x 8" toms and 14" floor tom and a 14" x 6.5" Snare The cymbals are: 21" 1950's K Zildjian Ride 18" 1950's K Zildjian crash/ ride 13" K/Z Hi Hats 22 " Paiste Traditional Swish Drumheads are Remo Ambassadors on the toms with coated heads on top and clear on the bottom. An Aquarian vintage head is on the snare and calfskin is used on the bass drum. Drums used in the video are Gretsch Centennial and the Cymbals are old K Zildjian. Mics used are 2 B&K 4007's about 5 feet in front of the kit. Preamps used are Millennia Media.
