2040's Sortie 2025

By request, here is Alan Abel's classic snare drum solo, 2040's Sortie. This is a very challenging solo that incorporates many rudiments and some intricate stickings. There are not too many sticking's notated, so the performer should do what feels best to them. You can see some of the stickings I use are penciled in. This is a rudimental-style solo, so all flams, drags, ruffs, and rolls should be played open. I am playing it on a practice pad so that you can hear the metronome.
