The RG DS has NEW Firmware (and it's Kind of a Big Deal)

👉Anbernic did something most retro handheld companies don't do. Six months after launching the RG DS on Android, they shipped an official Linux firmware. The Android build was the wrong call for the RK3568 chip and everyone knew it. The community fixed it months ago with GammaOS Next and Rocknix. Now Anbernic has officially joined them, and that's a bigger story than I think anyone's giving it credit for. The firmware itself is fine. Stable, faster than Android, plays games. Not as good as Rocknix, which is still what I'd actually install if I were you. But the fact that Anbernic shipped this at all is the actual story. Companies in this space don't usually course correct. AYANEO didn't. Most of them haven't. Anbernic did.
