#watercolor #watercolorpainting #watercolorlandscape #relaxingvideomusic **Painting a Dreamy Watercolor Snowscape ❄️** Join me as I paint a peaceful winter scene in watercolor! Here's a breakdown of the materials and techniques I used: **1. Paper:** BaoHong (Baohong) Watercolor Paper * Weight: 300gsm * Type: 100% Cotton, Student Grade * Surface: Cold Pressed (CP) * Size: **18 Kai (approx. 37cm x 26cm / 14.5" x 10.2")** **2. Paints:** Winsor & Newton Cotman Watercolours * **Sky:** Yellows, Oranges, and Purples for a dreamy look. * *My Tip:* I added a touch of **Verditer Blue** or **Cobalt Blue** to these sky colors. This makes the sky feel deeper and more "grown-up," avoiding a childish look. * **Trees:** Greens mixed with **Burnt Sienna** (orange-brown) and Blues. Adding these tones *reduces the intensity* of the green, making the trees look more natural and realistic. * **Snowy Ground:** Based on the sky colors (Yellows/Oranges/Purples), but with **more Purple and Blue** added. I also used **lots of clean water**! This keeps the snow looking light, bright, and translucent. * **Lake:** Primarily **Cobalt Blue**, mixed with some Orange and Purple. I also used **Payne's Grey** in the darkest areas to make the water look deeper. **3. Lake Reflections:** * While the paint was still wet, I used a **clean synthetic brush** to gently "lift out" the lighter reflection shapes. * Then, I blotted the lifted areas with a **paper towel (kitchen roll)**. I prefer this because it doesn't leave lint behind! **4. Main Brush:** My trusty **calligraphy brush** did most of the work again! --- Unlock Watercolor Magic with Calligraphy Brush https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pYbpTxjvEL4&t=18s
