In this video I’m sharing what I call “My Multiplication Magic” and how I use Sue Bridgman’s My Multiplication Magic system in my live online math classes to help kids actually learn their multiplication facts—without relying on endless drill-and-kill. I’m a certified teacher with 20 years of experience (and 5 years online), and I’ve seen over and over that some students just don’t thrive with rote memorization. That’s especially true for learners who may have dyslexia and/or dyscalculia, or kids who simply need a different pathway into math. What I love about this approach is that it’s built for students who learn best through kinesthetic activities, visualization, gaming, pictures, and storytelling. In my classes, we’re not just “doing times tables,” we’re building hooks for memory and confidence so the facts start to stick in a way that feels doable.
