Volume One is the pack I’m using here for Curves, OptoComp, and Tape—basically the fast “make it feel like a record” tools. If your loop feels boring, Curves brings the weight back, OptoComp smooths vocals, and Tape gets you hiss/wear/deck options for instant lo-fi. The best part for me is they run on Push 3 standalone and still feel like proper mix tools.

Pros

  • +Curves makes it easy to add weight and do the boost/attenuate Pultec-style move
  • +OptoComp is quick for smooth vocal leveling with makeup gain
  • +Tape has multiple deck choices plus hiss and wear for lo-fi tone
  • +Runs on Push 3 standalone

Cons

  • -Some of the improvements (especially low-end EQ moves) are easier to judge on good headphones or speakers
  • -Tape lo-fi controls can get heavy-handed if you overdo hiss/wear
