Most clinicians work with people in pain. Become a better practitioner by developing the confidence to effectively assess and manage pain. Aligned with the IASP curricula, topics in this course cover the multi-dimensional nature of pain, pain assessment and measurement, management of pain and pain conditions. Pain Physiotherapy Level 1 is a foundational course aimed at any clinician seeking to develop their skills and confidence in pain management, or those who have had little clinical exposure to patients with varied pain conditions. This course will lead you to understand the burden of pain throughout society, develop a biopsychosocial model for the assessment and management of pain and understand the need for a person-centred approach to pain assessment and management.
