Fujifilm XF 55-200mm Lens: Disappointing Performance?

From my admittedly limited experience with Fujifilm optics, I had high hopes for their XF series lenses. After taking the 55-200mm lens on a trip and reviewing my images, I have a serious concern about its quality. Did I just get a dud, or is this representative of what Fuji is letting out of their factory? In this review, I test the lens using a resolution chart and get some surprising results.
