In this video, I do some photography with the Nikon D5200 and the amazing AF-S Nikkor 50mm f/1.8 G lens. This little lens is so versatile, you can shoot almost anything with it. Come with me and find out. The 50mm f/1.8 G lens has been in my kit for some time. Even so, I hardly ever use it and for this, I am ashamed! It's such a great lens and useful for so many types of photography. In the video, you will see sample images where I've used the 50mm 1.8g lens for portrait photography, flowers and macro photography, landscape photography, and street photography. I even give it a go for bird photography. On a crop sensor body like the Nikon D5200, the 50mm 1.8g lens produces the field of view of a 75mm lens. You simply multiply the focal length by the crop factor of 1.5 to calculate the equivalent field or angle of view. It's still a 50mm lens on a crop sensor body, that doesn't change. What changes is how wide the field of view is. *I use LensPens to clean all my lenses* - https://lenspen.com/?ref=siczyrvf I think you will agree that the AF-S Nikkor 50mm f/1.8G lens is a brilliant lens and one that you should add to your kit.
