In this video I tried the Bali Body Ultra Dark Self Tanning Mousse on my Asian (Hmong) skin tone because I tan really easily and I was honestly so curious how “ultra dark” would show up on me. I also compared the Bali Body mitt to my Josie Maran Liquid Gold mitt, because the Josie Maran one kept slipping off and collecting oil. The Bali Body mitt had a better grip and felt simpler, but I’ll tell you right now—I still had issues with it being too short, and it kept tanning my hand. I walk you through my prep (exfoliating and moisturizing dry areas like elbows, knees, ankles, and feet), how I applied it (long sweeping motions starting at the ankles), and how I handled real mom-life problems—like rushing, needing to wipe transfer off fast, and keeping my chest area clean because I’m breastfeeding and I do not want my baby ending up with a “tan mark” on his cheeks. I even used a brush on my face and treated the leftover like contour to define my jawline. Then I show how it developed over multiple days: lots of residue the first night, barely any the second, and none by the third. By day three it looked super natural—like I got it from being outside—and my husband really liked it. Overall, I’m definitely a fan of this brand and I’d recommend moisturizing like crazy to keep it looking good.
