In this video I tested Freebeat AI, a multi-platform AI service with a big focus on music, and I specifically played with their newer “video agent” feature. The idea is simple: you bring your existing track (YouTube, Spotify, SoundCloud, etc.), add a short prompt, pick a style and aspect ratio, and it generates a music video for you. I’m not going to pretend I’m a video-prompting wizard yet (I’m still better on the image side), so I also show what happens when your prompt is basic versus when you get more specific. I walk through the main options like music-to-music-video, music-to-dance-video, music-to-lyrics-video, and even video-to-music. The biggest takeaway: the transitions can look really good and the overall quality is surprisingly decent (even at 720p), but consistency is the pain point—characters and art styles can shift a lot, sometimes jumping from anime to real-life to CGI. If you nail the prompt and theme, you can get results that genuinely feel like a “real” music video, but you may need a few attempts (and maybe some post-editing) to get a polished final cut. Pricing is also pretty reasonable for AI video, but longer songs will burn credits fast.
