About This Video

In this video I dig into the newest AI features CapCut added over the last week or so, and I show what you can actually do inside the editor (desktop and mobile). I switched from Adobe Premiere because I was paying around €30/month and realized I could save about €20 by moving to CapCut Pro while still getting basically the same day-to-day editing power. The big focus here is CapCut’s built-in AI generation: text-to-image (with multiple model versions), and image-to-video where I generate an 8-second clip and check the animation quality and speed. My takeaway: the results can be surprisingly good, and for certain workflows it’s a super practical way to create quick b-roll or stylized shots. I also test AI avatars (including voices and lip-sync), and I’m honest about the limitations: the lip-sync isn’t the highest quality I’ve seen, and I really wish we had better options to clone our own voice because a lot of the included voices sound a bit generic and “too clean.” On the editing side, I show one of my favorite time-savers—transcription-based cleanup that removes filler words like “um” and “oh,” which helps tighten long videos for retention (even if it’s not as accurate as Adobe yet). I wrap up with style transfer for images, which was impressively faithful compared to other tools I’ve tested, and I share why CapCut’s overall value is strong since the Pro plan bundles a lot of features, with credits mainly applying to the AI generation parts.
