The Celest CD-2 is one of my favorite budget dongles because the T-shaped, no-cable form factor is just ridiculously practical for phone use. It’s bright and analytical with strong detail presentation, and you get both 3.5mm and 4.4mm in one tiny, premium-feeling zinc alloy shell—just remember the 4.4mm isn’t truly balanced.

Pros

  • +T-shaped unified design with no dangling cable
  • +Both 3.5mm and 4.4mm outputs for convenience
  • +Bright, analytical tuning with strong detail presentation
  • +Premium-feeling zinc alloy build

Cons

  • -4.4mm output is not true balanced (same output as 3.5mm)
  • -Audible noise floor on some sensitive IEMs
  • -No onboard controls
  • -No DSD support
