About This Video

In this video, I explained “Quantum Internet”—the future of ultra secure communication—and why it’s completely different from our classical internet. Today’s internet sends electrical signals or light pulses, but quantum internet uses quantum particles (typically photons) to encode, send, and receive data. The goal is to achieve a new level of security, new communication capabilities, and even support for powerful distributed quantum computing that traditional systems simply can’t match. I broke down the two core quantum concepts behind it: quantum entanglement and quantum superposition. Entanglement links two particles so deeply that the state of one instantly influences the other, which helps create ultra secure channels. Superposition means a qubit can exist in multiple states at the same time (unlike 0/1 bits), enabling far more complex processing and transmission. I also covered how entangled qubits are distributed across nodes and maintained using quantum networks, quantum repeaters, and quantum memory. Finally, I discussed the biggest practical challenges—photon loss over distance and quantum decoherence from environmental interference—and why researchers are still pushing hard in countries like China, USA, Netherlands, and Austria. The real-world applications are massive: government/military, banking, healthcare privacy, and advanced scientific research.
