In this video I explained 6G technology—“the future of hyperconnected intelligence”—and why it’s not just a faster version of 5G. 6G is expected to come around 2030, and the target is extreme performance: up to 1 Tbps speed and latency down to microseconds. I also highlighted the big shift: 6G will embed AI and machine learning inside the network, so the network can self-optimize, predict usage patterns, and dynamically allocate resources. That’s why I call it a move toward cognitive networks—faster, smarter, and more responsive. I also covered the real-world impact: immersive VR/AR/MR, and even holographic communication for lifelike remote meetings. For IoT, 6G is designed to handle massive scale—up to 10 million devices per square kilometer—powering smart cities, industrial automation, digital healthcare, and automated transportation. Technically, 6G will use terahertz spectrum (0.1–10 THz), which brings challenges like range and penetration, so I discussed solutions like advanced antennas, intelligent reflective surfaces, and even quantum communication principles. Finally, I talked about sustainability (AI-driven energy optimization) and stronger security with quantum-safe encryption and AI-based threat detection, plus global R&D efforts already happening across major countries.
