How to Draw a Butterfly

Mr. Smith creates a colorful drawing of a Butterfly and Rose which are inspired by the children's book, “The Very Hungry Caterpillar” by Eric Carle. It features a caterpillar that eats his way through a wide variety of foodstuffs before pupating and emerging as a butterfly. Mr. Smith wants young people to read and use literature as a launchpad to create images in their imaginations as well as reading to be informed. To make his drawing Mr. Smith uses various shapes, lines, colors, and simplifies the drawing into a step-by-step process, which makes it easy for young children to follow along with his videos. His one-stroke/two stroke coloring method enables any child to get the most color out of their markers.
