About This Video

In this video, I break down how much every major social media platform pays per 1,000 views—and I’m not guessing. I’m pulling from my own real monetized accounts (Fly Juggler) across YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Snapchat, and more, because I’ve had to learn from scratch how each payout system actually works. I walk through the requirements to get monetized on each platform, what “counts” as a view (engaged vs qualified), and the realistic RPM ranges creators can expect once they’re in. I start with YouTube long form because it’s still the highest earning platform overall, but the RPM range is massive ($2 to $100) depending on niche, audience, location, age, and whether you can run mid-rolls (8+ minute videos). Then I move into short form: YouTube Shorts is consistent but lower (roughly $0.10–$0.25 per 1,000 engaged views, mostly driven by viewer location). TikTok can be a secret killer with a higher ceiling (about $0.10–$1+ per 1,000 qualified views), especially if you unlock “additional rewards.” I also cover why Instagram payouts are rare/invite-only, how Snapchat pays much better on Stories than Spotlight, and why Facebook monetization can be solid but random to get accepted. Finally, I show how I use Repurpose.io to auto-post everywhere so I’m not manually uploading the same content all day.
