Our 4th of July weekend kicked off with Colt’s work softball party, and let me tell you — it was full of chaos, laughs, and unforgettable memories! 🏏🌧️ From the very start, things didn’t exactly go as planned. The bounce house nearly blew over in the wind, storm clouds rolled in, and we were racing to get the kids ready — hair, makeup, face paint, and airbrush tattoos — all while trying to stay dry. Somehow, it all came together just in time for the big games. Colt’s team had an up-and-down day on the field, but the highlight was definitely the last-minute showdown. With two outs and three runs needed to win, Kade hit and made it on base, Justin hit and the outfielder dropped the ball, and finally, Yovanny hit a home run to send them to the championship! The energy, excitement, and teamwork were absolutely electric. ⚡ After the game, we grabbed dinner from a taco truck provided by Mountain Valley Electric and indulged in unlimited Italian ice while soaking in the fun and chaos of the day. Then the championship game started… and just as the storm rolled in, Colt’s team faced a tough loss. But even with rain pouring down, we ran to the car and drove off to start our 4th of July cabin weekend in Ashton, Idaho — because that’s what makes summer memories so special.
