My husband Colt nearly died while hiking alone in the Arizona desert May 2024. He was suffering from a heat stroke—delirious, dehydrated, and had collapsed on a cactus—when a stranger named John found him and refused to leave his side. This is their story. It’s a story about survival, timing, faith, and the kind of quiet heroism that changes your life forever.
